Since Unova is suppoed to be in America, and I live there, I wanted to make a Unova based team and a character that looks kinda like me. I tried to make her look a little heavier but that didn't work too well. She has blonde in the beach outfit because she dyes that part of her hair blonde in summer, and that's the only time she goes to the beach. Download for a much bigger view.

POKEMON
♀ Whimsicott = Cotton
Bio: Cotton was caught while Miranda's mother was a trainer. Once her mother had settled down, Cotton was left to be the second hand around the house and help with chores. Cotton had also helped cared for Miranda and her older brother as babies. Once Miranda decided to set off on her own adventure, her mother was so concerned and worried, she had given Miranda Cotton's pokeball and had sent Cotton off with her daughter to protect and care for her.
* Cotton is the seven pokemon (illegal in battles) in her party, her pokeball is worn around around Miranda's neck, and Cotton is only sent out into battle if all other pokemon have fainted and she is against wild pokemon.
♂ Emboar = Dante
Bio: Meeting Professor Juniper was special to Miranda because she had recieved Tepig. Tepig was her main pokemon throughout her journey and had eventually evolved into Emboar.
♂ Shiny Galvantula = Venom
Bio: After Miranda had caught a Joltik, she did not realize he was a shiny Joltik until she had come across multiple ordinary Joltiks. Eventually evolved into Galvantula.
♂ Swoobat = Belmont
Bio: Caught while a Woobat in a cave. Eventually evolved into a Swoobat.
♂ Carracosta = Crush
Bio: Miranda had fought against a trainer in the cave where she had caught her Woobat. After defeating the trainer, he had offered one of two fossils. Out of the two (feather or shell fossil) she had picked the shell fossil. When she had visited a museum, they had told her if she had brought in a fossil they would revive it for her. Miranda had remembered about the Shell fossil, and had given it to them. Once revived, origionally Tirtouga had put up a fight. Once caught, it eventually evolved into Carracosta.
♂ Chandelure = Twilight
Bio: To obtain her Chandelure she had to trade her ♀ Panpour named Sebastian. Eventually Litwick (Twilight) had evolved into Chandelure.
♂ Zweilous = Camelot
Bio: Miranda had caught Camelot while he was a Deino. Eventually evolved into Zweilous.
